initializing new variables in EFS

How do I create a new variable for use in a EFS program?
i tried "var x = 0", but I got the Error Message:
"x is undefined"
Where in the EFS Formula Wizard can I declare a new Variable?

You cannot declare custom variables in the Formula Wizard. You will need to do that with the Editor
