  • Is this Even Possible ? Help Needed !!

Can anyone guide me in the right direction ?

Is it even possible to do the following, in the formula wizard, I've looked at all the help documents and still cannot figure it out

    1.Using the Accumulation Distribution indicator

    2. Calculate the difference between the AccDis of the current bar and one bar prior.

    3. Compute a 14-bar exponential moving average (EMA) of this difference

    4. Smooth this average with a 7-bar exponential moving average (EMA).

    5. Plot "Indicator A/D"

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The indicator you describe sounds like Farley's Accumulation/Distribution Accelerator (or some variation of it) and yes it can be programmed using only the Formula Wizard.
To do this you need to use the study on study feature of the Formula Wizard which is described in the Formula Wizard Guide in the EFS KnowledgeBase (see the Study on study (MA of RSI) link at the end of the Formula Wizard Guide).
First create the AccDist study. Then create a 1 period Momentum study of the AccDist study. This is the same as calculating the difference between the current value and the prior value of the AccDist. Once you have done that you create a 14 period EMA of the Mom_AccDist and lastly you create the 7 period EMA of the EMA_MOM_ACCDist.
The required steps and the result can be seen in the enclosed images
