  • DiNapoli PS Crossover Sound Alert

I'd very much like to modify the DiNapoli Preferred Stochastic to include a crossover sound alert. I've been experimenting with other crossover alert efs's and have not yet come up with a way to do it with the DPS. Does anyone know how?

As far as I can see (actually hear) it is sounding a ding at my end on cross overs.
If and when I have some time I may take a look at it further.

FWIW someone else suggested in another thread that they had it already done. You may want to check there first.

                Hey guys,

I have written a script that sounds an alert when the stoch crosses up, below the 50 line, or down when above the 50. It also draws an up or down arrow accordingly.

Since you can't write or draw to one pane while a script is running in another, I have written one for the price pane also.

These are both part of a larger strategy, but I am I sure that I could spin something off to do what you want.

I'll try to get to it in the next day or two.

                James

The efs is attached to the second message from the beginning of this thread and is called preferred stochastic2.efs.
Click on the link, select Save and save it to any of the subfolders in the Formulas folder of the eSignal directory (for example you could use the DiNapoli folder itself).
Once you have downloaded it you can apply it to a chart.

                      Hi Alex,

Thanks alot for your help, easy as 123.

Always is when you know how.

Maybe this is not the correct thread to be asking this but, is there any way to make the candles thinner in the advanced chart window, so i can get more candles in a smaller area.

                      Thanks again

On the Advanced Chart Toolbar just under the main menu you have two buttons one with an icon of a thicker bar and the other a thinner bar (the tool tip will say Increase Bar Width or Decrease Bar Width)
To the right of those are the buttons that control the Bar Spacing. As you decrease the Bar Spacing you will see that the program will also adjust the Bar Width (although you can still control it to a certain degree)

Here is the cross over alert that plays an audio file and draws arrows on the study.

It is part of a larger strategy, but should work on its own.

It should be easy enough to make simple modifications to suit your needs.
