I use pivot points in my Forex trading, and have found the pivot point formulas in eSignal to be helpful. The formulas are based upon the currency's High, Low and Close over a specific time period. Can someone tell me what time period is used with the eSignal calculation? This variable is a little tricky for currencies, as the market is open 24 hours per day, and therefore there is no "close" as with stocks. Many traders calculate the HLC at midnight EST, or some other benchmark time. My review of the Pivot Point formulas showed the equations, but the timeframe was not clear to me. Any insight would be appreciated.

The main Pivots formulas that I've seen use the daily chart data to base it's calculations on. We close a daily bar off at 14:00 PST and 15:00 PDT, and then immediately open it back up for the next day. Sunday's open at approximately 9:00AM PT year round.Regards,
