PercentChange.efs formatColumns() command

Can someone tell me what the formatColumns() command does? I am trying to modify one of Jason's scripts.

Background... The eSignal formula script PercentChange.efs uses the command formatColumns() on line 56, fourth line of preMain. The script was written by Jaon. I can not find a reference to this function in eSignal or JavaScript documentation.

That is neither an EFS nor a JavaScript function but a user created function to format the columns
