Larry,
You could add in a if/else if statement that would check the value of the nForce1 and if the number is < 0 change the default color. Please see that snippet of code below that can be used.

 if(nForce1 < 0){
        setDefaultBarFgColor(Color.red, 0)
         }
        else if(nForce1 > 0){
        setDefaultBarFgColor(Color.green, 0)
         }
    return new Array(nForce1, nForce2);
}
