In the SP Z5 (one minute advanced chart), I would like to adjust the volume.efs study so that when there's no activity for any time period, it will record a zero value instead of a previous value for the tick volume.

Can someone please help me in writing the code

If there is no activity in a period eSignal does not plot a bar for that period. As far as I can see the customVolume.efs which is in the EFS2 Custom folder does not return the volume of the prior bar but that of the current bar.

I am unable to view the EFS2 folder because I'm using Esignal 7.8.
Can you please post the customVolume.efs file so I can download it and run it in 7.8

You need version 7.9 to run that study as it is written in EFS2. You can download 7.9 here
FWIW the Volume study in Basic Studies will return the same results.
