User definable TICK / TRIN indicators

Can anyone point me in the direction of studies that will allow me to calculate and display the equivalent of the NYSE TICK and TRIN indicators for a user definable set of stocks

No joy yet.

I'd also like to be able to calculate and display, as an indicator, the percentage of a defined group of instruments that are trading above or below their own defined moving averages.

I've done a fair amount of digging and can't find anything currently available. Got absolutely no idea where to start for either project

Can anyone give me a pointer or two please?
