  • MACD from different Time Frame

    Hello,
I am trying to write a efs study in Formula Wizard that uses MACD study from a higher time frame. My thinking was if the higher time frame was 10 times greater I could multiply the lower time frame by 10 and get the same result (something close). However, it wasn't even close.

Is there a way to calculate the higher time frame parameters?

The customMACD.efs that is in the EFS2 Custom folder is already preset to use external intervals (ie time frames other than the one being charted)

      Alex,
Is there a way to use the EFS2 Custom studies in Formula Wizard?

I am trying to do this in FW because I am not smart enough to build it in the Editor yet.

      Thanks,
      Russ

It is possible (with limitations) to use the EFS2 builtin studies in the Formula Wizard but it would require a full understanding of the syntax and construct of the EFS2 functions. At that point it would little different than using the Editor. The better solution is to learn how to program in efs.
