  • combining 2 efs studies

Is it possible to combine 2 efs studies on one chart to produce an alert?

For instance, I am running the same efs on 2 charts...one at 200t and one at 400t. I want an alert when short conditions on both charts at the same time.

Is there a way to combine and analyze the output from both timeframes on one chart?....other than the obvious of including the study conditions from the faster chart in the longer chart by adjusting the parameters of the faster study to match the timeframe of the slower chart...

    Thanks in advance.

Yes it is possible. Within the same efs you could create multiple instances of a study each running in the context of a different interval. As an example of how to do this you can use any of the studies included in the EFS2 Custom folder as they are all enabled to run on multiple intervals.
If you are instead using a custom efs then you could create a new efs that uses multiple instances of efsExternal() to call that efs and set each instance of the called efs to run in the context of a different interval. For examples on how to use efsExternal() see this thread.
You may also want to read through this post with regards to generating signals based on multiple time frames.
