automatic download of data to excel

Anyone know of any way to download data automatically every day to your custom spreadsheet? Ideally I would just open my spreadsheet after the close, it would get eSignal data from charts of stocks I use, and my information would calculate automatically and be good to go. I know this works in RealTick but I would rather stay in eSignal.

I have tried to work with data export and found it cumbersome; the third party solution QCollector doesn't really solve the problem imo.

Any and all solutions appreciated.
