Peaks and Trough

Hi All,

I am currently trying to code a simple programme that calculates the peaks and Troughs (or valleys) on a bar chart and then draws lines betwen these peaks and troughs. For some reason, I cannot get my head around this. Anyone already completed something similar and have example code available?

There are more than one sample in the forum, try a search with Trendlines or Pivot points.

I include a study that I developed with the help of Brad.

The pivots are of a strength of 1, the code in lines 51 to 61 can easily be adjusted in case you want a higher strength pivot.

Many thanks for this FX, but this is not what I had in mind, I must have explained myself poorly.

I want to draw lines from peaks to valleys similar to the 'powerswings' formula available in formulas/powerswings.
