Need help with very simple indicator / efs

I need to make a EFS that will allow me to calculate the range of the last X number of periods. I trade Eminis on 5 minute charts using a CCI-14 indicator, so for the sake of keeping statistics it would be a lot simpler for us to have a little something that will calculate automatically the range of the last 14 5minutes bars, rather than calculate it manually everythime.

Can anyone help?

One indicator study which you may give you what you need is the ATR (average true range) available in the Chart Options-Basic Studies-ATR pull down.

The indicator was invented by Welles Wilder and is documented in his book, "New Concepts in Technical Trading". It's called True Range because it factors in the range including any price gaps.
