I saw this post and was interested myself. I didn't see a response for him

    Hi

Is it possible to make an efs code for the smart money flow index of the Dow index?

    At

this link they describe that it is quite simple to create. I would like to make a have a efs code that would plot the Dow with the smart money flow index either overlayed or underneath the Dow. Is this easy enough to do or not?

I presume that the smfi would also be able to be plotted for regular stocks to would be great.

    Thanks.

The link posted is broken. The SMI that I know of would be very easy to do, but hard to tell if it is the same because of the link issues.

It shouldn't be that hard to code. I have a few other projects right now, but if nobody gets to if before then I will do it. If it has to wait for me, then it will be about a week.

OK, I'll start working on coding it this weekend. Will post the results here when I am done.

OK here it is. The comments at the top talk about the indicator (a bit) and how to use it.

Note that I'm sure the #1 comment will be the limited amount of SMI data that is displayed. This is currently limited to the approx. 3 months worth of intraday data eSignal keeps. When that get expanded (sometime later this year, according to eSignal) then you will have more SMI data.

See the notes in the comments about Time Templates...otherwise you will not even get the ~3 months of SMI.

Can this be made to work on Forex charts?

                    Any advise will be appreciated.

Have you tried it against Forex charts?

It should work on any symbol as long as:
                      1) you can get 30 minute intraday data on it
                      and
                      2) that there is at least a few months of 30 data

Make sure your time templates are set up right, or you will not get the correctly results.

One warning: The people who created the formula have only talked (at least at the time I created the study) about using it against the DJIA...

Thank you very much, I got it working on forex with settings as suggested by you.

I saw in one old post that you refered to your fileshare area but that link was not working.

Would you be so kind as to provide a link to your work.

                        Regards
