Signal when Price Crosses a drawn line

Hi all,

There were some posts about this back in 2004 and wonder if this has been improved.

I'd like to draw a trend line on a chart (using my mouse). Then when the price crosses the drawn line I'd like an indicator to sound. I'm considering automatically taking a buy or sell position when this the price first crosses the drawn trend line.

Does anyone currently do this automatically?


Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Alerts on trend lines are not available in eSignal at this time.
This would need to be done through efs. If you run a search using the keyword trendline* alert* you should find some scripts that will draw trendlines and trigger alerts on them

Thank you for the links and looking after my request. Whether the feature is built into eSignal or is a developed EFS does not matter to me. So long as the functionality is available. -- John
