  • Victoria: replicating her studies with EFS

    Hi

I am trialing Victoria room: can someone help me to replicate her custom studies using EFS?

Here is the typical chart she looks at:

all data and relevant paramteres are written in the chart.

Keltner: I guess a EFS is already available

ADX: how to color code a 14 period ADX?

    Thanks for any comment

The attached zip file contains 3 EFSs that provide the following chart

All the EFS were created with the Formula Wizard which can be used to view or edit the settings.
As to the Keltner channel you can find several versions programmed by JasonK in this Forum.

      info

      Dear Alex

Grazie, thanks a lot for your efs
      I have these additional info:

      1. dunnigan: can you tell me what exactly are those colours in the price panel How to interpet them?

      2. Keltner: can you create a Keltner efs?
I see there are already 3 Keltner efs in esignal\libraries but I cannot set parameters as STD= 2.50 lenght= 20 periods

      3. ADX: the trigger for the green color is +30, right?
and for the red colour? Is it +15? (I know i should ask Victoria Pearson, but you seem knoweleagle)

      Thanks
      Simone

        1. Lime is a day that has higher high and higher low than the prior. Red has lower low and high than the prior. Blue is an outside day (higher high and lower low) and yellow is an inside day. Past that I have no idea how to interpret them.

        2. In my message there is a link that will take you to three variations of Keltner channels all adjustable.

        3. For ADX I used +30 and +15 as thresholds for color change, but I am not sure if those are the correct settings as it does not mention them on her chart.

Also it does not mention if the 3-10 Price Oscillator and the 16 period smoothing use SMA or EMA (I used SMA for all)

          black bars

          Ciao Alex

1.I have imported your Victoria bars.efs and I have found a 5th colour: black! How is it defined?
Youcan see balck bars in intraday mode, for example 1min or 5min bar charts

          2. Price Oscillator: how to change from 16 period SMA to 15 period EMA? Shall I need to run the wizard or edit your EFS by studying java 1.5

Thanks anyway for your wonderful job

            1. Those would be bars that do not fit any of the conditions set by the Victoria Bars.efs.
If you actually look closely at the image for which you provided a link in your first message you will see that there are some gray bars also there. Those are the equivalent of the black ones.
While at it I corrected an error I had in the code and have set those black bars to now paint in gray. Attached is the revised version (Victoria Bars-2.efs)

            2. Use the Formula Wizard to change SMA to EMA. It is simply a matter of editing the study in the Studies Used section of the Wizard.

R: Reply to post 'Victoria: replicating her studies with EFS'

              Ciao Alex

I tried to edit your studies, for example oscillator, by using edit studies
              sub-menu within esignal.
I see that if I change the thickness of the line, or the style, my change
              are not reflected and ignored.

              Why is that?

Use the Formula Wizard to view and/or Edit the studies.
