Alert for crossing moving averages?

Hello,

I was wondering if it was possible or already done in custom formulas to set up alerts for technical conditions such as moving averages crossing each other. Adding a new dimension to alerts would greatly improve the usefulness of Esignal to technical traders.

Please let me know if this has been done, or can be done.

You're in luck... In the Formulas\Wizard\Alerts Folder there are 5 different EFS files of which one is the MA Crossover. One thing to remember is that each of these were created with the EFS Wizard and are very basic but with a little tweaking you could add sounds and other things to customize it for your use.

Also with in the eSignal FileShare are some other Alerts that you download and use as well.

Thanks that's perfect... with a little tweaking I got what I needed.

Although I do have a question, and perhaps I'll have to repost in the custom formula forums.

With the custom formula I was able to make an alert appear on a single stock when the 10 day MA and the 20 day MA crossed each other. Is there a way in to have it be a global alert on every stock in my quote window?
