  • Stoller Average True Range bands STARC

Does anyone know if there is an efs out there for STARC or the stoller average true range bands. They are very similar to bolinger bands but are based on the average true range. If not they would be a grat addtion to the esignal library of formulas

    Thanks

    Yodajudge:

I just coded one up. It is in the Misc folder of my Specialty Scripts group.

Because eSignal's ATR built in study is buggy as per thread:-

        http://forum.esignalcentral.com/show...&threadid=4719

I've taken the liberty to alter the script made by Chris to include the correct ATR coding. There is quite a difference between the 2.

I have attached a revised Stoller script as I forgot that we need to do a Wilders EMA as an averaging rather than a straightforward SMA (except for the first few bars of the price series). The results are still different from that given by using eSignal's buggy built in ATR study.

If anyone is interested in exploring other bands such as Anderson, Bollinger, Headley, Keltner & Kirshenbaum with a "twist" please have a look at the following thread:-

            Robert,

            Your thread [URL=http://forum.esignalcentral.com/sho...=&threadid=5746[/URL]
goes nowhere. I tried several times and got an error back.
