My suggestion is to add (and maybe sort by) 'Change from Close' and/or 'Percent Change from Close' columns to your quote list. And if you add these same columns but relative to the Open, you can see which gaps are closing or increasing after the open. This is a quick fix until you learn efs.
(I assume you wanted to 'see' these gaps in a quote list, and not initially on charts?)
Hope that helps

P.S. supposedly EFS and EL are equally complex ... would be interested in your comments

writing studies on gaps
I am a new esignal user and my only previous programming experience was in "easy language" on tradestation. i would like to learn, but there is no wizard on version 11.2. i want to write a basic indicator that indicates when the open of the next bar is higher/lower than the previous closing bar. can anyone help?Last edited by stavloizou; 06-20-2011, 01:13 PM.Tags: None
