  • Pivot Points for Ver 11 - Plotting new Pivots on chart before Midnight each day

Is there a way we can see the Pivot Points when the Futures markets reopen in the evening instead of making us wait until after midnight every day?

If you search the forum you will find that this has been already done through efs as the topic has come up before

      Hi Alexis,

Thank you for your time in responding to my post.

I searched multiple words and post. Some going back to 2003 which I am sure those fixes won't work with ver 11. I am sorry to bother you with this question, but do you know off hand where this post is you referred to ?

For an example see post #337 in this thread. As I said the topic has been covered before and there other scripts that will do what you are asking

          Hi Alexis,

Again I appreciate your time for assisting me.

This is just another example of ESignal claiming to be a "Professional Traders" platform and they are a far cry from being anywhere close to that.

A professional trader would not have the time or desire to research a forum to get something that other programs make a "default" setting. I am not questioning your ability, but why would I trust somebody to tell me how to fix this when I don't have a clue if they even know how to spell "help"? And to have to learn how to write code to fix an ESignal issue? Really?

According to ESignal all traders start their trading day at midnight. They don't take into consideration that many traders like to do their pre-market analysis before midnight.

Good luck with your trading and your support with this issue.

In re-reading your post it is not actually clear to me what you mean by “having to wait until midnight” to see the Pivots.
I initially interpreted it as you wanting to see the projection of the next day's pivots hence my initial suggestion.
If instead all you want is the current day's pivots as the new session starts then you can easily accomplish that just by using the built-in Pivot study and have it calculate based on a Time Range set to your pre-defined Start/End times rather than the Daily Bar (see the enclosed screenshot as an example – note that the cursor is on the first bar of the session at 18:00 ET which is also where the Pivots begin)
