  • Cumulative $TICK

    Is this study possible?

Starting at 0, add the close of every $TICK bar and continue the summation into close of the day (maybe it could be used on the daily chart as well?). So a positive increases the line and a negative tick decreases the line. And can this be slaved to a price chart like #ES #F?

    Thanks in advance!!!

Some time back a kind person helped me with a similar request.

I have two efs which may help you. One is a cumulative $TICK that starts at zero and adds/subtracts each bar's tick to the sum. It does not reset each day but starts at zero from the first data point on the chart. Is displayed as a histogram. The number of periods to *** is an input. It is an indicator so it can be attached to any chart you wish. Should you choose to do so you can copy it, give it a new name and change the symbol to $TICKQ and use the Naz tick.

The other one is similar in that it plots any symbol along with a moving average as an indicator (non price study). So if you use $TICK as the indicator and a moving average periods the same as your *** periods you basically get the same thing as a line plot instead of a histogram. A *** plot and an average plot are the same thing as the average is a *** divided by the periods.
The nice thing about this one is that you not only see the ***/ave TICK but also what it is doing at that instant.

    Help yourself
