    Jason,

I found my seminar manual Bill William's gave me a while back to help learn his material. Do you still need any more information? If so, private message me with details where to ship it to, marc

      Hi Jelle,

First, download the SmoothedMA.efs that is located a few posts down, and load it onto the chart 3 times. Then, choose edit studies, and modify each of the 3 moving averages using the correct numbers. The blue line is a 13 bar smoothed moving average offset 8 bars into the future, the red line is an 8 bar smoothed moving average offset 5 bars into the future, and the green line is a 5-bar smoothed moving average offset 3 bars into the future. Make sure that you set each of those to HL/2 under the frPrice section, otherwise the moving averages will not be set correctly. In a different thread, someone compared the averages set up this way to Bill Williams Investors Dream software and they matched perfectly. I have been using all the indicators for about a month now, and everything seems to work good, although I do not have any of the other charting programs to compare it to.
Make sure you use the fractal.efs and the AO-AC-Squat.efs formulas that are listed earlier in this thread. Also make sure you are using the correct AO and AC efs formulas. I believe they are also listed somewhere is this thread, and if not they are located somewhere in this thread, they are listed on one of the other recent threads regarding the Bill Williams indicators. If you have all of this set up, and are able to compare it to Metastock, I would be very interested to know if everything matches correctly, the AO, AC, Squat bars, and the Alligator. Thanks!

        Hi Jelle,

Here are the AO, AC and AO-AC-Squat formulas I have been using.

            Jelle,
Here is the formula which colors the bars red, green, gray, or blue (Squat Bars).
You need to use these most recent versions of these forumulas as well as the most recent fractal formula otherwise they will not work correctly in real time.

I've been reading both books of Bill Williams. I also tried to implement the indicators. So I also checked what was posted. I tested it but I think the alligator is almost there but not right. I have especially difficulties with the bleu balance line.
You don't really need a formula to set up the Alligator. It isn't magic, just normal offset MA's. You can use the Basic Studies-> Moving Average to build them. What I did when testing this stuff out a long time ago was save the chart after building the MA's as a template...so I could load that chart then have the alligator available to me right away. Saves on EFS overhead too.

In the end I ended up not using the system. It left too much money on the table to be interesting to me, though some of the concept are good, and the system as a whole well thought out.

                BW indicators

Thanks all for the quick reply. I will implement the indicators and compare them with both ID and MT RT. I'll keep you posted.

                  Indicators BW

                  Nicholle,

I have loaded all indicators you pointed out to me and they exactly match those from the ID software package. This gives me the confident that the indicators developed are right. My complements. I'm very glad with these indicators.

The only thing I don't have and never did understood how it worked, is the Gator Oscillator in the ID software. Did you ever looked at ID software? You can see it on the Profitunity website.
There is nothing in the books how to program it. I also don't see how to interpretate this oscillator. It gives you a glance of what is probably going to happen, 5 bars in the future. Do you have a clue?

                  Sincerely,

                  Jelle

                    Fractals

                    Nicholle,

I also did some more digging in the fractals. On the 1-minute chart it seems that two fractals are missed. So the fractal code probably doesn't look for these fractal setups. Attached you find the screen shots with red circles where fractals are missing. Ie. you missed two contract add-ons.

The majority of the fractals are detected. I think it is nothing to worry about and the efs code is almost perfect.

                      Hi Jelle,

I have also noticed a few fractals that have not been marked, you are right, it is not programmed to look at those kind. Jason K. did all of the programming for me, so I may have to see if he can add those additional setups to the formula. I would really like it to mark every fractal.
I am glad to know that the indicators match ID, I am relieved to finally have definate proof that they are all programmed correctly!

                      Sincerely,
                      Nicholle

                        Hello All,

I've got Bill's book ordered and Marc R is sending me some additional material on these Fractal patterns. I'll revisit the formula once I have all the materials. Hopefully we can get this thing fine-tuned.

                        Cheers,

                          Hi Jason,

Yes, all it needs is a little fine tuning. The few fractals that are not showing up are just slight variations on the ones that are already programmed. For example, the formula will mark fractals with as many a three exact highs/lows at the center, but technically, a fractal can have any number of exact highs/lows at the center as long as they are preceded and followed by two lower highs/higher lows. The other fractals that are not being marked are slight variations on the Type D and E as specified in the formula. You will have a good understanding of the system and indicators after you have read the book and other material that you will be receiving, his book is very interesting and informative. Have a great day!

                            Hi Jelle,

I thought I remembered the Gator Oscillator mentioned in New Trading Dimensions, so I looked through the book and it does mention it when it describes the Investors Dream software on pages 208-209. It says it looks into the future for 8 bars. It would be nice to get the formula for that indicator and how to use it in conjunction with the three balance lines. Do you happen to know anything about the Bill Williams EO indicator for counting the Elliot Wave? That is also described on page 209 but does not tell how to program it. I would also like to have that indicator. I wonder if there is a way to get the formulas for those two indicators?

                              Hi,

I think you will find that the Gator Histogram is what is described in the sections mentioned. It seems to be nothing more that an other visual representation of the off set MA's he calls the Alligator (I have seen others call similar offset MA's "the snake" and other such names...it is not a unique concept to this system).

Bill Williams EO indicator for counting the Elliot Wave? That is also described on page 209 but does not tell how to program it
Since he also states on that page that it is proprietary, I doubt that you ever find the exacct nature of its code...but you do have other hints as to what it might be based on. See page 62 of the same book. This concept is not dissimilar to the Advanced Get Osc study.
