  • Non-price Study $add

    Hello,

I am new to EFS and would like to write a formula that can show a market statistic (in this case, $add) as a non-price indicator (line type) on the bottom of the chart.

I would appreciate if anyone can point me to the right direction with regards to how to proceed. Hopefully there is a similar formula out there already (I just don't know which one) that I can use as reference in writing the code.

    Thanks a lot,

    Peter

The attached efs will plot as an indicator a symbol other than the one plotted in the main window.
The default symbol is $ADD but can be changed through Edit Studies.

      Peter,

I hope Alex was able to assist you. I created this thread because like you I'm a novice and I needed assistance with some code that was provided by Jason. Your request was totally unrelated to the problem I need assistance with. May I suggest that you create a new thread if there aren't any existing threads that are related to issues that you need addressing.

Anyway, going back to my last post. JasonK, as I mentioned, I inserted the hardcoded example you gave me into the formula and still no joy. I inserted it exactly where yoiu suggested as shown in the attachment.

Thanks for your help in advance.

      Cheers

      Carlton

        thanks

        Alex,

Thanks a lot for your help, and sorry about the late reply. I signed up for the email notification/alert but it never notified me about your reply.

        Anyway, thanks again.

Here is an efs that will track $add or any symbol you specify. The drawline will turn lime when above the 0 mark and red below the zero mark. I found it a little easier to identify when occupied with browsing my layout.
