How do I create a button that calls an EFS function when pressed?

I see the drawTextAbsolute() and drawTextRelative() functions and they can be drawn as buttons and have click detection associated with them but I cannot figure out how to have an EFS function called when I press the designated text area.

[this question is not related to the Mouse Functions which are related to hardwired functions that get called when actual price bars are clicked on]
