bollinger back testing

How can i back test the bollinger Band break out.

By this i mean how can i create a Sell or Buy signal or alert on the price chart when ever price passes OUTSIDE of the bollinger band more then .75 or 1 pnt.

Because I have noticed that when ever this happens price is forced to reverse and get back inside the bollinger band channel.

hi,

check the efs it´s for automated trading with bollinger bands.
I tested it only with the Tick Replay Tool and Symbol: ab z4.
The entry is when the upper or lower bollinger band is crossed. The exit is when the middle Bollinger Line is crossed.
But this strategy makes no profit.

but if u buy /sell when price breaks outside of the bollinger band a pnt or more you are gettingat teh top and when price reverses a pnt to 1.5 pnts that is pretty good profit.
