  • FOREX - Source

At this point in time, the FOREX data stream is a composite of multiple sources. I have checked about restricting the data stream to a single source, but found that it is not possible in charting or even on the agenda for the near future. There is a posting from Oct 2002 that indicates this may be an improvement in the future, but I guess the future has not yet arrived. Does anyone have anymore information on this feature ?

I know in the Time and Sales information I can filter the source to the one I am interested in, which is a great start. If this is where I am limited, I was wondering if there is anyway to write an EFS to the T&S versus to a chart. Since I can get what I am looking for on the T&S it would be really cool if I could apply an efs to this...

    Any thoughts ?
    Thanks -

    Hello Jennifer,

EFS is only for Advanced Charts currently. The source in a data stream is not currently exposed to the EFS environment.

This ability may still be on the list of considerations but just low on the list. To generate more interest for such a feature please submit a suggestion to [email protected].

      Thanks Jason -
I have already sent an email to IDEAS, that's how I found out that the feature still wasn't available but I could filter with T&S.

      Appreciate the help.
