tick by tick or computeonclose?

I have a script designed to change the screen background to paleyellow when all of the criteria of a buy/sell are met. This works perfectly when I enter into bar replay mode and let it run from a certain point, however when I let the charts run "live" the script does not change the screen until I refresh or reload the script. At this point, if a trade would be in place, it works...???? Why will this not execute when each tick or candle is forming, but rather only upon a refresh?

Iit could be a real time logic issue which does not show up in Bar Replay as the efs only uses completed bars in that mode. Post the code and someone may be able to help.
