  • using multiple time interval in a studie...

im wondering if you guys knows a good way to use multiple time frames in a study. for example i want to use moving average in one time frame and stochastics in another. the only solution ive come up with now is to use 2 advanced charts up running 2 strategies simultaniously and communication to each other through file i/o. but there must be a better way? i want em in the same strategy. you dont need to answer with code just text explaining some what the solution.

    Hello chris1,

This is a common question that has been discussed many times in the forums. The thread below should be a good place to start.

higher time frame moving average help

If you still need more info after reading through this thread, use the search feature at the top of the forums and search on keyword combinations like "multiple time interval" or "multiple time frames."

BTW the forever-promised EFS2 (which will make multiple timeframe analysis a snap) should be out in a 7.9 beta early January.
