  • Efs 2

    Hi all,

does anybody know when the EFS 2 will be released and is there anywhere that I can find information about EFS 2?

    Hello plucky,

The initial release of EFS2 will be included in the 7.9 release. It's still undergoing some design changes. We'll provide more information on EFS2 once 7.9 is available.

      Hello JasonK,

Thank you very much. I am really curious about it. It is good to know that we will have it in the next release.

Will there be any major changes like loading an efs from another one or opening multiple windows/panes with a single efs?

      any hints?

      TIA

        Hello plucky,

The main advantage EFS2 will provide is simplicity for formula development. It will introduce a more macro-like functionality.

More specifically, there will be a whole slew of simple functions that will allow you to access each data series from all the built-in studies. One of the major enhancements will be the ability to create multiple time frame studies. Currently, this is a major undertaking in EFS. EFS2 will make this possible with a few lines code. You will also be able to easily include any EFS formula from within another and access it's returned data series. Another big advantage will be the ability to create study-on-study formulas where we can use a custom data series or EFS as the data source. EFS2 functions will not, however, give us specific control to manipulate windows in the layout.
