  • Renko charts and bonds

Is there any simple way to get bond and note futures to scale in decimals. Or adjust the renko charts scripts to handle bond and note futures?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Darwin,

Because the minimum tick fluctuation is relatively small compared to stocks, you may want to make some adjustments to the box size of the Renko charts. I would also suggest using the #F contract as the monthly may not have enough data to build a readable chart (again, depending on the box size of course).

In the case of TY #F, I adjusted the box size to .015. This brings the data into a much more readable view. Depending on the minimum tick fluctuation for the specific contract, you may want to experiment with different levels until you get the desired result. To change the box size, right-click on the Advanced Chart and choose "Edit Studies." Scroll to the studies for the Renko chart and you can alter the settings there. Hope this helps.
