  • Printing lines drawn wirh drawlinerelative

For some reason, lines on charts that are drawn with drawlinerelative do not appear when I print them (or they appear truncated), although they are displayed on the screen.

I know it's not a color or printer problem because sometimes the line is drawn partially. Even black lines on a white background are not printed. If I draw lines manually, they get printed perfectly. However, drawing with an efs does not.

    Does anybody know why?

    Michael

    Hello Michael,

Thank you for the report. This problem has been verified and reported to development (EDL# 11212).

As a temporary work-around, you can use the Image Publisher to create an image of the chart to a local folder.

You can then print the image file from another application that can open the file, such as Internet Explorer. Hope this helps.

      Jason,

      Thanks for the quick response.

Do you have an idea as to when the fix will be made available to customers?

          Hello Jason,

Do you have an update as to when the below fix would be available?

The workaround you mentioned does not really work as the image resolution gets lost when opening image for print. I've tried several different applications.

I am therefore manually drawing over my EFS lines when I want to print a chart, thereby defeating the purpose of having the EFS.

          Would appreciate an approximate ETA.

          Thanks,
          Michael

            Hello mikev777,

A fix for this printing problem is currently unscheduled (EDL# 11212). I will send another request to development on your behalf.

              Hi mikev777,

FWIW, I use a program called SnagIT for the purpose you describe. The quality of the capture and the output can be adjusted to obtain excellent color prints.

                Thanks Jason and Steve.

                I'll try SnagIt out.

                Regards,
