MACD calculation

calculate MACD ?(include detailed mathematics)

The method behind the calculation is clear but I was looking
for an e-signal specific code for it , includes all the mathematics.

Is there a way which I can put my hands on it ?

You can use any efs that computes a simple or exponential moving average as that is the only math behind the MACD.

Hi alex,

I have MACD indicator in the basic study folder but
if I open the EFS editor , I can't find the basic folder there
to open it and see the code - can you ?

The MACD efs that uses the builtin study should be in the Builtin folder. Opening it with the Editor will not necessarily provide any math to how it is calculated because that is done with the builtin study. As I said in my prior reply the only math that relates to the MACD is moving averages.
