Try this...

I created this real quick to try to help you..

It averages the BODY RANGE of n candles (in the recent past), then multiplies that value by the RangeMult value (defaulted to 0.61825). Then it checks the current candle range and color to see if it is bigger than the average body range * mult.

It plots green/red boxes at the bottom of the chart to tell you where the BIG candles form. Play with the inputs and see if this will work..
