I have a trading strategy which a want to write into a formulae to enable backtesting . Do i need to learn javascript or there is another way to back test my trading strategy.please advise

If you want to write it yourself then you will need to learn EFS and have a basic understanding of javascript. Having said that depending on how complex the formula is you may be able to use the Formula Wizard which can simplify the task of writing formulas.
You also have the option of posting the strategy in the hopes that members of this community will come to your assistance. If instead you are uncomfortable posting your strategy then you can always contact one of the EFS Consultants
In the mean time you may want to review the documentation on EFS and javascript which is available in the EFS KnowledgeBase
