  • average of the last 3 lows

    Hello,

is there a possibility to get a line on a chart, with the average of the last 3 day lows ((low(-1) + low(-2) + low(-3) / 3), so that i get shown a a new line every day ?

something like the pivot-efs, that shows me every day (also in history) the pivots.

the only difference is, that i need not an average of the o,h.l,c of only the last day, i need the average of the lows of the last 3 day´s. (something like an support-level)

I´m sure for some of you, thats easy ;-)

    thank you for help

The attached script should do the trick. It is configured to display both the High average and the Low average. You can modify as necessary.

          Chris,
          Thanks.
I tried your efs, however, whenapplied the only thing that it does is changing the time scale on my chart to 2 Sec intervals without even appearing as a study on it.

Do you have an idea why is this happening?

Please let me know the version and build of eSignal that you are running. Also, let me know the symbol and the time interval you used when testing the script.

              Chris,
I am using the 7.2 version; the symbol was BRCM and the time scale 1 min.

              Thank you in advance.

Try the attached version instead. I tested it on JNPR 1-min and it works just fine (using the default settings the hi-band is at 8.80 and the lo-band is at 8.27).

                    Sugart21:

Please run a test for me.

Open a fresh Advanced Chart. Load up JNPR as the symbol and set the interval to 5 minutes.

Now, load in the LowHighAvg.efs script and tell me what happens.

On my end, I can see high and low bands. For today the high band is at 10.1933 and the low band is at 9.636.

                      Hello Chris and Sugart21,

Sounds like you have run into the "too many folders and files" bug in your /eSignal/Formulas folder. Do you see an icon that has a circle with an "I" inside it next to the file name when selecting the formula to apply it? There has been a fix for this that will be in the next release. For beta users, the fix is already in place. For non-beta members, the temporary work around is to move the file to another folder towards the top of the tree or to a folder that you know is working properly (no icons next to the file names). This only affects users who have downloaded an extreme number of formulas.
