  • Tick Downloader and EFS

    Howdy folk,

Does anyone know if it's possible to download the last xx days worth of tick data on a given symbol through an EFS ? If so, how can it be done?
    Thanks in advance !

    Chris

Tools, Tick Replay, and Tick Downloader should get you started.

Do not forget to give the download a file name - that step is not that obvious.

I meant is it possible to write an EFS script to automate the download process ?

        Chris,

No, you cannot use an EFS to automate Tick Downloads.

              Automate your request

Many mouse and keystroke recorders out there. Most are $20-40.

I chose www.autohotkey.com . FREE , with source code if you want it . This is an advanced utility, it can take several weeks to get comfortable with it. I use it to read my symbol list from a file and apply a descriptive dated file name to the download.

                Hi DavidZ,

This looks like a nice utility, thanks for suggesting it and including the link as well.
