thank you Jason and Alexis for your patience, I appreciate it and glad we're got to the bottom of it.

yes the confusion lies within the LR drawing tool "Std Dev" label.

I wanted to create an efs version of the drawing tool which is now LinReg_v1.efs below.

my own preference (but accept there may be others) is a channel that is based on the difference between the raw data and LR line.

to help remove the confusion, LinReg_v2 contains all code to create a linear regression with std dev and std err channels.

... maybe this topic could be renamed something like "Linear Regression - standard deviation and standard error"
