Run in Background

As it is now if I write a program to trade QQQQ when the MACD reaches a value and while that's running I want to take a look at MSFT the program changes the MACD to reflect MSFT. How can I program it to stay with the QQQQ at a certain interval no matter what I have on the screen?

The customMACD.efs which is in the EFS2 Custom folder is enabled for use with external intervals and/or symbols ie it can be based on a symbol and/or interval different than the one being plotted on the chart
