  • Help with Encryption

I have an EFS script that I would like to protect. When I select 'Encrypt' from the Tools menu, I am prompted with a dialog box to enter a password and an email address. I do so and then am shown another dialog box that says 'Encrypting...' in the title bar. But nothing happens...it just sits there.

Anyone know what I am doing wrong???

    Tx,

I dont think you are doing anything wrong.

Next time you open eSignal and try to open the file, you will be asked for your password. If you try to edit the file outside of eSignal, the file will be a blur of characters.

      Scott:

I have experienced similar problems. It may sound silly but try changing the password slightly. I typically use passwords that are long strings of digits and characters. For some reason, certain combinations will lock up the process just as you describe. By changing a number or a character here and there in my password, I can ultimately get it to work.

        Chris,

I have tried and tried and cannot get an Encryption to work. Can you email a password that you know works to [email protected]?

        This is really frustrating!

        Thanks for your help.
