I am working on automating my EFS development and testing process. Is there a command line version of EFS Encrypt?

      EFS command line encrypt

I'm looking for the same thing! perhaps we should submit a feature request. It doesn't seem that it would be too hard just to make it a command line parameter to winsig.exe /encrypt "somefile.efs" (default would do EFS2 encrypt, if a password was specified with /password: then it would do EFS1 with the password

Even if there was just a DDE command, that would be more extensible. Someone (even I) could write a simple front end that would just tell the already running winsig.exe to encrypt the file. It could be on the right click menu in explorer.. lots of options there.

      I vote for both

something scriptable like this would save me millions of clicks!

I submitted the suggestion of command line encryption on 5/12 and received an automated reply. You should submit you ideas too.
