Help Where Lines Meet, Please

Hello,
I'm trying to draw a price, or perhaps even a Wingding, wherever the blue and red lines meet, or come close to meeting, in the attached. I'm not having any luck. After looking at this again, maybe the only way to include a price would be at the end of each red line? Could you help, please? Thank You.

Hello Diane,

What you can do is create a condition that looks at the absolute difference between the two end points' of the red and blue lines. When the condition is true, you can draw shapes, text etc above or below the bar as in the following example. Currently the condition looks for a difference of 0.25. If you want to see where they are the same change the value to 0 or something close to 0.

Thanks so much for your help. However, I'm getting an error message that says on line 419 I'm missing a ) after the argument list. I checked 4 times & I copied your info exactly. Any Idea how I can fix this?

Post your code and I'll take a look. You have a missing end paren somewhere, we just need to find it.

I see two typing errors that need to be corrected. The first one is the .toFixed() method has a space and a lower case "f."



Needs to look like below.



The second error is the close brace and open brace before and after the else statement are transposed.



Change this line to the following.

Hello Diane,

We have a logic problem with the current condition. By definition, (y2b+.35)-(y2b+.25) is always going to be .10 as the end points for both the blue and red lines are both based off of the y2b value. The end point value for these two lines will always be the same distance apart, therefore the labels will all be drawn or none will be drawn depending on the value used in the condition. Currently it's .25 so it draws the labels at each bar where these lines get drawn.
