Alert.mail() always automatically adds the symbol of the chart on which the EFS is running to the email subject and body. How can I disable this feature?

Set the third parameter (Alert.email(body [, subject] [,prefix])) for the prefix to false. This will remove the symbol from the subject line.Jason K.
