It appears that when using the $ndx as a chart, the $spx, does not begin at the correct time.

Hello chrisprogram,
The symOverlay2.efs establishes a factor at the oldest bar in your chart to convert your comparison symbol to the price scale of your chart's symbol. You can see what that factor currently is in the cursor label window. To adjust that factor, right-click on your chart, select the "Edit Studies" option and then change "nFactor" in the formula parameters to something like 1.22.

Seems to be working fine here (see image below).
How is the Time Template setup? That may be one reason for the difference.
