Strange keyboard problem

Hello

When in EFS editor, my " and ! (i.e. shift 1 and shift 2) do not place any characters in the editor despite working in all other programs.

Can anyone make any suggestions?

I am assuming you meant Shift+8 for the * character
Anyhow Shift+1, Shift+8 and Shift+2 (for the @ character) all seem to be working fine at my end (see enclosed animation).
You may want to check that you do not have those combinations as hotkeys

No, I meant Shift+1 for the ! and Shift+2 for the " as they are ! and " on my keyboard

I have found the problem. I had used these as hotkeys for the Customize Keyboard and removing the hotkeys restores them.
