Problem with EFS in chart of $VXN

Hello,
The attached efs seems to work fine with 'regular' ticker symbols in Bar Replay mode. It plots a 10 ema and changes the chart background color to green or red depending on whether the ema is rising or falling.

I can load this efs ok into either a chart of "INVERSEVXN" or "1 / $VXN" but when I try to check its operation in replay mode, eSignal 8.0 crashes (three times). Do you think it will work ok in real time, or will whatever is causing the crash in Bar Replay mode also crash the program in real time?

Also, if there are any suggestions to improve the efficiency of this efs, they would be appreciated.

As far as I can tell the efs is working fine (tested in real time using tick replay)
The crash you are seeing is unrelated to the efs and is caused by running Bar Replay on a spread symbol (in fact it occurs even without the efs running in the chart)

Thanks for the reply Alex.

It is working fine so far today, in real time.

I noticed this morning that I had the chart set up for Scale/Display Left, and changed it to Right before loading the efs. Do you think the left side scale might cause a problem in Bar Replay. (I'll try after the Close)?

But maybe as you mention, it will crash irregardless of the efs running, if Bar Replay is run on a spread symbol.

As far as I can see the issue occurs when Bar Replay is used on a spread symbol regardless of the location of the scale [or of any efs]

Thanks Alex for checking that the issue is solely Spread Symbol and Bar Replay related.

The efs worked throughout the trading day with no problems. I'll know for next time to test (via Bar Replay) an efs intended for use with a spread symbol on a non-spread symbol.
