Today's candle minus X number of days

What efs statement and syntax is used to determine which daily candle is, say, 8 days ago?

I know how to draw shapes and lines, but I don't know how to count back X number of days from today's current daily candle.

Today is May 2 so I want to identify the candle 8 trading days ago, which would be April 23.
