efs() vs efsExternal()

Hi,

The "eSignal EFS Develope'r Reference" i.e., the "?" help in the efs Editor lists "efs()" and "efsInternal()"

The "EFS Glossary" lists "efsInternal()" and "efsExternal()"

efs() and efsExternal() seem to be the same yet parameters are fed differently and I can't get the efs() to work.

Is there any difference or is the efs() obsolete??
