combining conditions to shorten code

Let's saw I want a buy signal when CCI(20) crosses above either -100, 0 or 100 at the same time CCI(40) crosses above -100, 0 or 100.

There are 9 combinations here that would produce a buy signal.

How can this be coded such that I don't have 9 different IF statements?

Hello Jase,

You can combine expressions within an if() statement using the && operator. For example,

if ( this1 == true && this2 == true) {
    // do something
} else  if ( this3 == true && this4 == true) {
    // do something else
}

For example...

If CCI(40) > -100 or CCI(20) > -100 then etc
