  • efs and Time Templates query

On a chart with a time template showing pit hours (ie not 24 hours) I would like to mark the overnight/premarket extremes. As far as I can see an efs has no access to data "outside" of the hours in use on the chart (so even if the time template specified different hours for different intraday intervals that wouldn't help).

    Is that right?

The simplest fix would be to "connect" to another chart (24hrs) using global variables I guess?

you are correct. when you run an efs on a chart with a specific time template, only that data is available within the EFS. You could, of course, load up another chart (24h) that calculates the session data you require and pass that back to the first chart. It gets more complicated, but you can pass multiple "globalvalues" (arrays) to the first efs as a solution.

I've done something similar for a client that wants 4 pairs of TRIGGERS (8 efs files) running that feed a single ROBOT (to fire automated trading order).
