When an advanced chart is used at tick resolution, including the bid and ask, then the standard volume study does align properly with the ticks. However, it misreports volume, as it repeats volume bars which occur only once. However, it does maintain vertical alignment of the volume bars with the ticks. What is the trick to maintaining vertical alignment, since studies I write DO NOT maintain alignment with the tick chart. Anybody know?

Obviously, there are callbacks which are failing to report a return value. So, is the answer to very carefully check for nulls, and is there any error handling at all which I can use to ensure that every formula call results in a new datapoint on the chart? I am a java programmer, and javascript is a bit cut down, but fine for me.
